How to cook perfect Spaghetti with Tomatoes, best summer recipe
Spaghetti with Tomatoes is one of the most common Italian recipe. It’s a simple dish perfect for beginner cooks because it can be done in a few times. But it is also a family-friendly recipe that everyone could cook in summer time.
Ingredients for about 4 people
1 package of spaghetti
2 tomatoes tins
2 ounces extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves crushed garlic
4 fresh basil leaves
In a large pot fry the garlic in enough extra-virgin olive oil to cover it. When the garlic becomes opaque put some tomatoes in the pot and cover them with cold water. Add salt e stir the tomatoes every 4 o 5 mn. When the sauce is ready, turn off the fire and start to prepare the spaghetti.
Use a large pot plenty of water and when the water boils add a few pinches of salt and the spaghetti. After 9 mn drain the spaghetti and toss them with the sauce. Be careful and don’t toss all that cooking water. When you stir the spaghetti into the sauce, if needed, you can add a splash of the cooking water to loosen.
Your Italian spaghetti with tomatoes is done! Serve it with the uncooked basil leaves.
